Kristin D. Sanders is a writer, editor, and educator. She is the author of Cuntry, a finalist for the 2015 National Poetry Series, and the chapbooks This is a map of their watching me and Orthorexia. Her work has appeared in such places as Lit Hub, Longreads, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Bitch Magazine, Hobart, Columbia Journal, The Guardian, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Louisiana State University, and a BA in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

She has taught English composition and creative writing at University of Arizona Global Campus; Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo; Belmont University; Loyola University, New Orleans—where she served as a poetry editor at New Orleans Review—and Louisiana State University, where she was book review manager at The Southern Review.  

She once spent a year in Nashville, attempting to write country songs—her uncle is Nashville Hall of Fame Songwriter Mark D. Sanders—but wrote Cuntry instead.

Originally from Santa Maria, California, she currently resides in Paris, France.
